$15.00 Batteries and a $80.00 Mouse

For the past week or so I’ve been having problems with my mouse. I have/had a Logitech MX700 Wireless rechargeable mouse. I got it about three years ago. For some reason, starting a few weeks ago it started not charging. So, I tried to figure out what was up with it but didn’t have much luck. I assumed the batteries were no good, so I went to Office Max and purchased a 4-pack of rechargeable AA batteries. I didn’t know that rechargeable batteries are so expensive ($14.99 @ Office Max). Unfortunately, the batteries didn’t work either. I made a trip to Fry’s to get another mouse. The new version of my old mouse was the only one that looked cool to me but it was $79.99. While at Fry’s I noticed they had rechargeable batteries for $5.00 less than what I paid at Office Max. I went ahead and got the new Logitech mouse despite the ridiculous price. I got it hooked up and it works great. For laughs I checked the internet for comparable prices and found it at Tiger Direct for $10.00 cheaper. Damn it! If it didn’t take a week or more to receive something from an ecommerce site I would have ordered it online. Someone needs to bring a service like Kozmo back.
