I’ve always had a phobia of things being in or around my eye. I just read on the Modblog about an eye tattoo experiment. Must be crazy to do something like this.

You can see more photos and read more about the project over on Modblog.

sure it’d be painful and swell, and weep.
but what the hell is it supposed to be?you can get contact lenses with graphics on them, finer than any tattoo could produce.
the whole thing seems like a waste of time.
OMG This can not be real!
Thats probably a dead person their Experimenting on ……Because a living person would never go through with this!
Ewwwwwwww……Im gonna have a night mare
seriously wouldnt the needle from the tattoo gun pierce the eyeball?
and WHY would you want to get a tattoo on your eye?!?!?!?!?!?
waste of time.

lol. this is just what it looks like at first, apparently now it looks nice. his eyes are baby blue. and i mean amazingly blue. if it wasnt so scary, id get it.
im a tattoo artist from georgia, and being in the business im sure i would know whats real and fake. this is definitely a real tattoo, this person is not dead or unconscious, and its obviously not photoshop. people find new things to do to their body almost every day so you might as well just get used to it and accept it for what it is. “art”
for the sake of art itself please don’t be ignorant about it. its always a shame to see good things be unappreciated.
dude u must b crazy 2 do that. his eye is messed up. a bet u not even a monkey would b down for that.
I am an ophthalmologist (eye M.D.). I can tell you this is a very bad idea. The ink is being injected underneath the conjunctiva (superficial clear skin layer of the eye). However, if the needle penetrates the underlying sclera (much less than 1 millimeter thick) the “patient” will be very likely to develop a retinal detachment or endopthalmitis and would likely be permanently blinded. Do you trust your tattoo artist to not push the needle 0.2 millimeters too far? When I do ocular surgery I always have a very powerful operating microscope and an instrument to keep the eye immobilized. Ophthalmologists are paid the big bucks because we have the steadiest hands of any surgeons, but even I wouldn’t try this without a microscope and equipment. Most of the time it would probably work out fine, but when it doesn’t you can kiss your vision goodbye and I probably wouldn’t be able to help. GOOD LUCK!
That is actually really cool, and it isn’t going to be just a blob. They use a syringe to inject the blue ink under the first or second layer of skin on the eyeball. Over the span of hours, it eventually coats the entire white of your eye turning the white blue.
I’d say the dangers involved in this make it kinda stupid if you’re in anyway attached to your sight, but I like the concept. Perhaps there will be a safer way to do this, and hopefully to a better standard than in the picture shown.
In my country being it illegal hurting eyes like this. This being work of red necks.
PS I not liking this blue color.
